Lavender

A iridescent violet hue shines through my soul every utterance

we speak our serene language: even when silence hangs in the laurels

of our flourishing hearts. We cultivate despite our wilted bloom.

We breathe deep, feel the world between our weeds yet flower

one another with vivacity, gracefully reminding the universe beneath

an intoxicating refresh of life: there is no place we cannot grow.

Twilight is our time’s sacred tempest. A pearlescent garden just for us,

coaxing our flush up to Somewhere New, Somewhere More Divine.

Uprooted from the rotting delusion that is greed, ego, torment

that poisons our soil. I feel free when you unveil me in the moonlight:

blissfully belonging.

And like the beautiful bud’s devotion to flutter and sway jovially

in the Sun’s enveloping warmth, I vow to Thrive with you,

Flourish with you, Be with you so. I will unselfishly feed

Your earth, water Your soul with my heart’s everbloom, and

Watch you inspire the spring’s wildings, so that we never have to

plant ourselves in this world without the other: even when

the ground quakes and the skies unleash their sorrows.
